Welcome 

Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg. Our club held its organization meeting on May 31, 1949 with 32 charter members. Since that organizational meeting the club has been involved in many programs benefiting the youth of our area. Those programs include the annual Kids Christmas Party that had its beginning in 1954 and has continued each year since. The Key Club at Christiansburg High School was organized in 1959 with sponsorship by the Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg. The club started the sandlot program in 1952 and fully operated and funded the program until 1970, when with the urging of the club the Town of Christiansburg formed the Department of Parks and Recreation which assumed the program with the continued support of the Kiwanis Club. In 1962 the club acquired a 5 acre tract of land behind Southern States which was converted into what today is known as Kiwanis Park.

Today the club meets every Thursday at 6:30PM at NRV Superbowl.
