*The schedule for the Fall 2010 Season has been
posted. The repertoire will be Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor, Vaughn Williams Overture to The Wasps
and Vivaldi "Autumn" from The Four Seasons. Soloist will be Pasi Eerikainen, violin
Special note: The Musical for Summer, 2010,
will be "The Pajama Game," a 1954 show with 3 hit songs and a bunch more that will all seem fresh and new
because they weren't hit songs! And best of all, it calls for a full string section and has some nice moments
when the strings aren't competing with the jazz band! I'll be looking for 6 violins (possibly 8, depending
on how the books are scored), 2 violas, and 2 cellos, plus acoustic string bass. --John
