Statement Older Adult Ministries Synod of the Mid-Atlantic |
The mission of the Synod's Older Adult Ministries is to promote the spiritual health and well being of older adults and their families in the Mid-Atlantic region.
To achieve our mission we will:

Advocate for and with older adults and their families/support networks; |

Become a presence in congregational life; |
|
|
|
Create and identify resources; | |
|
|
Develop and nurture leaders; | |
|
|
Educate and communicate using technology |
Goals of Older Adult Ministries:

Trained Advocate and Older Adult Ministry activity in every presbytery |

|
Every congregation and presbytery has spiritual and educational resources addressing issues of aging | |
|
|
Adults are engaged in life-long discipleship | |
|
|
Adults are engaged in faith-based later life planning |
