Jim Billingsley Memorial Harvest Festival

The Jim Billingsley Harvest Festival auciton and yard sale is held every September for the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program (MCEAP) at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1845 Cambria Street, Christiansburg, Virginia. All proceeds are donated to the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program to assist families in our community to meet basic needs for food, heating oil, and medicine in the coming months. Donations of auction items, canned good, clothing, etc. are gratefully accepted. Many merchants in Montgomery County donate items from their businesses for auction at the Harvest Festival. To arrange pickup call or email the pastor or contact the church.

The Jim Billingsley Memorial Harvest Festival began as a celebration of harvest time and a way to generate badly needed funding for food banks in the area. In 2007 almost $8000 was generated for local charities at the event that features a charity auction of items donated by local merchants, a yard sale of items donated, games for children, a bake sale, and food service. Hundreds of cans of food are also donated each year.
