      • New bank will be chosen by new treasurer.

  • OLD BUSINESS:
    • Carolyn can't be treasurer. A.Lyford nominated D.Fisher for treasurer; B.Boring second; all in favor.
    • B.Boring will contact everyone about arrangements for a summer picnic on Smith Mtn.Lake in late July or early August.

  • NEW BUSINESS:
    • An RPT from SC is donating a local (Radford) Story & Clark console for our new donation project. A. Lyford will pick it up this week & take it to J.VanBeek's.
    • Harry will add new members to the listserv & website.

      • the bank is now charging $10/mo.; consider getting new bank
    • PRESIDENT: N/A
    • VICE-PRESIDENT: Attendance is lagging; it will help for everyone to RSVP to meetings and dinner. Maggie will send out two notices about meetings; everyone who plans to attend, RSVP to listserv for meeting including a yes or no on dinner.

    • A.Lyford purchased a Baldwin Acrosonic that is good enough for a new donation project.

      • delivered S&C piano to boy's dorm at Blueridge Bible College
    • VICE-PRESIDENT: everyone think of ways to encourage attendance

    • H.Doss & M.Jusiel still need to create a list of donated pianos
    • John motioned to have elections at Christmas dinner; Andy 2nd; all in favor

  • NEW BUSINESS:
    • H. Doss & M. Jusiel will remember to coordinate to create a list of donated pianos.
    • Regarding upcoming meeting and technicals:
      • J. VanBeek will order the parts necessary to fix up the Story & Clark for donation & we can make a meeting out of it. Possibly June?
      • C. MacNeal suggested that we should all attend a concert with a piano that was tuned by a guild member for an upcoming meeting.

Unofficial meeting: Maggie Jusiel, Andy Lyford, Katie Lyford, Burgess MacNeal, Carolyn MacNeal, Tim Mainland, John VanBeek

Carolyn arrived early and did most of the work. Thanks to the VanBeek's for a great dinner! After dinner, we all admired Carolyn's work and decided what else needed to be done. Andy & John will try to get together soon to continue repairs & restoration.

Harry taught us a bunch about damper regulation, and typical problems that can arise & how to fix them. Those who didn't come really missed out! Thanks Harry!

Next Meeting possibily at John VanBeeks, possibly on June 21st. (We'd work on the new donation piano.) It will be time to vote again for our chapter officers. Keep an eye out for e-mails with the final meeting arrangements!

      • We got a letter to update our charter agreement & did so.
      • Note: PTG convention in Nashville, TN, 4/8-4/11
      • Regarding using form #990 to report annually to the IRS with our EIN#, H. Doss informed J. VanBeek about an an abbreviated version of form #990 called an "E - post card"; this simple form will be more practical for us.
    • VICE-PRESIDENT: A. Lyford will try to organize technicals more in advance.
    • COMMITEE REPORTS: N/A

  • OLD BUSINESS: C. MacNeal is willing to keep the chapter library in her home. (B. Hale motioned; A. Lyford seconded)

  • NEW BUSINESS:
    • H. Doss & M. Jusiel will remember to coordinate to create a list of donated pianos.

    • TREASURER: Because of recent purchases, our account is getting low; everyone bring their $35 chapter dues by the Christmas dinner.
    • PRESIDENT: Dues for 2010 will be $225; we need to be aware of our tax ID # & get a "chapter tool kit".
    • VICE-PRESIDENT: Next meeting Nov.9th at Hollins, Presser Hall.
