Hours
Historic Smithfield Plantation is open for tours with costumed interpreters from 10am-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 1-5pm Sunday from April through the first week of December. We are closed Wednesdays. 

Tours begin on the hour and half hour.   Please allow 1 hour for the tour. 

Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for students 12 and up or with college id, 
and $3 for children 5-11. 

Historic Smithfield offers a AAA discount of $1 off of adult admission.

Membership in the APVA allows you free admission to all 36 APVA sites including Historic Smithfield and a 10% discount in our Museum Store.

Historic Smithfield is a member of the 2007 Virginia Time Travelers program.  A discounted admission of $5 for adults and $2 for children is offered to participants in this program.

Group and school tours are available throughout the year by appointment.
Group rates are $5.00 for adults, $3.50 for students, and $2.50 for children 5-11.  Please call 2 weeks in advance to arrange a group or school tour.

Directions
Historic Smithfield is adjacent to the Virginia Tech campus in the heart of Blacksburg, Virginia, 9 miles from Interstate 81.  From I-81, take exit 118-B.  Follow Route 460 Bypass towards Virginia Tech to Route 314 which is Southgate Drive.  Enter the Virginia Tech campus on Southgate Drive.  Take your first left onto Duck Pond Drive and follow the signs to Historic Smithfield.
