  • August 6, 2010 (Friday, 6:30 p.m.): Draper Mile. The 29th annual Draper Mile will be held in conjunction with Downtown Blacksburg’s Steppin’ Out Festival, an annual event held during the first weekend in August. Results updated August 18. Click here for general information about the event.

  • August 21, 2010 (8 a.m.): The 4th Annual Giles County 5K Run/2 mile Walk, Ragsdale Field, Narrows, VA. Web site.

  • August 21, 2010 (8 a.m.): 14th Annual Fab 5k, Roanoke County's Greek Hill Park. Web site.

  • September 25, 2010 (9 a.m.): 1stÊAnnual GODstrong for Brandon Brinkley 5K Run/Walk, Recreation Field, North Main Street, Blacksburg, VA. Web site.

  • September 26, 2010 (9:00 a.m.): Michael B. Perry 5K Run & Walk . (Duckpond gazebo, Blacksburg, VA). Every year the 5K race raises awareness of drunk driving in honor of Michael B. Perry, a brother of Phi Sigma Pi who was killed in an alcohol related car crash. All proceeds from this event are donated to a local Blacksburg charity. This year we will donate to the Montgomery County Educational Foundation for DARE and Drunk Driving Awareness Programs. We are proud to be able to host such an event and bring together the communities of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech. Application form and information.
