Course Description: 5K

Start: On Airport Rd., about 150 m to the south of the entrance to Margaret Beeks Elementary School parking lot.
Airport Rd. to:
Left onto Gracelyn Ave.
Right onto Eakin St.
Right onto Preston Ave.
Left onto Airport Rd.
Left onto Draper Rd.
Left onto Clay St.
Left onto Harrell St.
Take diagonal path from Harrell St. onto Huckleberry Trail (turn right)
Follow Huckleberry Trail, taking left turn at the gazebo towards Airport Rd.
At the end of the Huckleberry Trail, cross Airport Road (at the intersection with Country Club Drive).
Right on Airport Road for about 25 yards and then turn left into the Beeks driveway (the entrance which is closest to the Huckleberry Trail) and finish in front of school.

Course Description: 10 Mile

Note that the course is the same as the 5K course for almost three miles.

Start: On Airport Rd., about 150 m to the south of the entrance to Margaret Beeks Elementary School parking lot.
Airport Rd. to:
Left onto Gracelyn Ave.
Right onto Eakin St.
Right onto Preston Ave.
Left onto Airport Rd.
Left onto Draper Rd.
Left onto Clay St.
Left onto Harrell St.
Take diagonal path from Harrell St. onto Huckleberry Trail (turn right).
Follow Huckleberry Trail, taking left turn at the gazebo towards Airport Rd.
At the end of the Huckleberry Trail, split from the 5K and go Left on Airport Rd.
Left on Preston Ave.
Left on Miller St.
Left onto Huckleberry Trail.
Out Huckleberry Trail to the turn-around marker, which comes at a quarter mile beyond the trail's 3-Mile marker.
Make a U turn at the marker; back on Huckleberry Trail to the gazebo,
Take right at gazebo towards Airport Rd.
At the end of the Huckleberry Trail, cross Airport Road (at the intersection with Country Club Drive).
Right on Airport Road for about 25 yards and then turn left into the Beeks driveway (the entrance which is closest to the Huckleberry Trail) and finish in front of school.

The 10-Mile course is new for 2004.

Results from Previous Years

2003: In spite of record rains which resulted in modifications of the 10-Mile course because of flooding, 200 runners participated.

2002: A turnout of close to 400 runners took advantage of the 40 degree temperature, clear skies, and gentle breezes to participants in the Striders' Annual Classic.
