Blacksburg Striders
Membership Information

The Blacksburg Striders is a running club with the purpose of promoting the sport of running for fun and fitness. We hope to accomplish this by sponsoring competitive races, fun runs, a newsletter, information/educational meetings, and social events. In addition, we maintain a web site <www.civic.bev.net/striders/> and e-mail list with local running and race information.

The Striders welcome all interested runners or those who would like to become involved with the running experience in any way, on any level. Striders membership fees include:

  • Newsletter subscription: published to inform you of upcoming races and results of past races, and furnish informative articles on training, physiology, racing, etc.;
  • Reduced entry fees to Blacksburg Striders events;
  • Opportunity to participate in fun runs, meetings, and social activities;
  • Participation on racing teams of all ability levels;
  • 10% discount at RUNABOUT Sports (208 North Main St., Blacksburg, VA); <http://www.runaboutsports.com/>.

Annual fees for individual memberships: $10.00, and Family (any number) $14.00. There are discounts for multiple-year memberships.
